The Black Universities Supply Shop, better known as The B.U.S. Shop is a family owned business that has been in operation since November 1992.

The business was started because of a question posed by a young teenage family member after a visit to Tuskegee University. The question was," Why can’t we buy sportswear bearing the names of our Black Colleges at the local department and sporting goods stores?" The answer that came back to mind was that instead of complaining about others not representing our colleges and universities, we could develop our own business which could proudly display the colors and logos of the historically and predominantly Black Colleges and Universities.

We have permission to use the name, logo, and trademark on sportswear an other items for over 50 of the 117 Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Our primary goal is to make an impact on our youth in our communities. We want them to be aware

 of the great heritage that is rooted in our Black Institutions. Our desire for our children to think Education! Education! Education! We also carry the latest in Greek Fraternity & Sorority, Mason & Eastern Star, Christian and Black Pride clothing. All work is created and produced in house and we also sell wholesale.
